Balbharti Indo-American Cultural Center was founded by Papiha Nandy in 1992, The goal of Balbharti is to offer instruction in reading, writing and speaking in Native Indian languages with an emphasis on the conversational aspect. Hindi is the national language of India. Although 90% Indians can speak and understand Hindi, surprisingly over 70% can't read or write in Hindi. These include many college graduates from USA. BalBharti has been teaching Hindi and other Indian Languages since 1993. Over 3000 students have so far completed this course. The medium of instructions is both English and Hindi or other Indian language, the courses have been designed to meet needs of Indians and non-Indians of all age groups. for further inquiries email us papiha@pacbell.net
